Since the nursing isn't going so well, we have found other fun ways to use the Boppy! Sadie loves using it as a way to strengthen her neck muscles, she loves to sleep on it, and we've also found it helpful when her tummy hurts.

Dinner With the Albrights
It was so fun to have the Albright family over for dinner when Grandma Jamie was in town last month. There are so many little kids running around (and laying around) when we get together now!
You can see Paige and Sadie hanging out on the floor during dinner. They were born only a couple months apart, so they should be good friends as soon as they can walk and talk...

Not a Good Blogger...
Sorry that it has taken me so long to post something. It's funny how fast the days go by when you're a mom!
Here she is in her crib...
And this was a candid shot taken when I was holding her over my shoulder...
I will try to update more frequently! Ciao!
Sadie is getting SO big. She's almost 3 months old and weighs about 11 pounds. She fits great in her clothes now (for the first month she didn't fit in newborn clothes at all). We had some fun pictures taken of her. Here's a sample...

Sponge Bath!
Grandma Sue came to help me with Sadie for a couple weeks. She got there just in time for the birth. It has been so nice to have a loving grandma that can take over when Ryan and I need some sleep.
The day after we came home from the hospital we gave Sadie her first at-home sponge bath! She loved it. I was surprised that she didn't cry when we put her little head under the water; in fact, she seemed to really like the water.
She loved getting her head scrubbed with the brush. She didn't like getting her body washed as much as her head, but it was probably cold since she can't sit in the water yet. I think she will like taking a real bath even better!
Sadie smelled so good after her bath! A nice bath and some food and she was out. She's just adorable!

Coming Home From the Hospital
Welcome Baby Sadie!
Sadie Ryan Miller was born August 19, 2008, at 12:16 p.m. She weighed 6 pounds and was 18.75 inches long. We were a little shocked to see her so soon because she wasn't due to arrive until September 3rd. Mommy didn't complain!
After they cleaned her up a bit I got to hold her again. She was so content and looked very calm; especially considering what the two of us had just been through! She looked a lot better than me to say the least...
Sadie and Daddy were best buds the moment they met. I was very grateful for Ryan throughout the labor and delivery process because he gave me an epidural that worked great!!!

She didn't sleep very much the first night...and neither did we. The nurses offered to take her to the nursery, but I didn't want her to leave. By 5:00 a.m. both Ryan and I were ready for her to go to the nursery for a little while so we could get some sleep.
